The celebration of the great feast of Easter begins on

Holy Saturday 4 April     8.00pm    Confirmation and Easter Eve Vigil

In the presence of Bishop Robert Paterson, Lord Bishop of Sodor and Man - this is a service of confirmation and a vigil on the eve of Easter Day. The music will have a distinctive Taize flavour (Simple melodies with prayerful words often based on Bible verses - from the ecumenical monastic community of Taize in France)

Easter Sunday  5 April    10.30am   Cathedral Choral Eucharist for Easter Day with Bishop Robert Paterson

Starting with the lighting of the Easter Fire, this service reveals the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ.   The full Cathedral Choir will be in attendance. Music will include Jackson in G and Purcell’s Rejoice in the Lord Alway. Bishop Robert will  preach and preside.

Easter Sunday  5 April      4.00pm  -  Be at the Cathedral to receive the cross which will have been carried right around the Island during Holy Week, as an act of witness to our faith.    If you wish, you can walk the final 3 miles with the cross from St John's to the Cathedral - meet beside Tynwald Hill, St John's, at 2.30pm on Easter Day

4.00pm    Launch of Churches Alive in Mann (CAiM)  An informal ecumenical ‘Songs of Praise’ service led by Bishop Robert, celebrating the launch of CAiM - a new witness to a living, growing church in Mann!
