Combined choirs sing Choral Evensong

On Sunday 17th March, Choral Evensong was sung by the combined choirs of the Cathedral and King Williams College. The service included Stanford's Psalm 150 and setting of the canticles in Bb as well as the magnificent Handel's Zadok the Priest.
The combined choirs were directed by Director of Music Dr Peter Litman and accompanied by Christopher Beaumont and Stuart Corrie. It was great to see a full congregation at the service, and we hope that it will become a yearly fixture in the life of both the Cathedral and the College. The service was led by the Chaplain of the College, Reverend Erica Scott and the Cathedral's Dean, Very Revd Nigel Godfrey acted as the Precentor.
The singing of the combined choirs was well blended, balanced and powerful and a real uplift during the solemnity of Lent. Thanks to the music department for organising the event and to Steve Daykin (Director of Music at KWC) for preparing his choir so well.
