Folk Concert in the Cathedral

The Nadine Charitable Trust hosted a fundraising event for the Cathedral Quarter Trust Project on 21st May in the Cathedral. This took the form of a concert given by The Travelling People, a 3-piece folk band who pride themselves on their acoustic music. The venue was suitably altered to utilise the space with tables and chairs.

Bottles and candles created an informal setting for a wonderful night of music and entertainment. Approximately seventy people came along and many, who had not attended the Cathedral before, were pleasantly surprised by the venue facilities.

Raffle prizes were donated by local businesses.

After a rousing evening, £300 were donated to the Cathedral Quarter Trust. The venture was organised in partnership with Revd Robert Boyle, St Matthew’s, Douglas.
