We take the Safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults seriously at the Cathedral and have adopted the Church of England Safeguarding Policy.

If you have any concerns that a child or vulnerable adult is at risk or has been harmed, or are concerned about the behaviour of someone towards children or vulnerable adults please do not hesitate to raise them with the Cathedral's Safeguarding Officer:

The Cathedral hosts special services to celebrate events in the community, and the seasons of the Church year. Click here for more details.

Opening times

You are always welcome in the Cathedral, whether for worship or just to look around, learn more about the history, or perhaps simply to enjoy some quiet time on your own.

The Cathedral is open daily from 9am to 6pm.

We are open all year round, though opening hours may vary slightly on Bank Holidays and Holy Days.

The Big Table Cafe - closed until further notice

While society is doing all it can to curtail the spread of Coronavirus, the Cathedral is following national advice so will not be operating Big Table at midday on Mondays until further notice.

Gardening Club

The Cathedral gardens, while still being developed, are at the stage that we would welcome volunteers to assist in maintaining them.  No prior knowledge of gardening is required, there are experts to guide you and teach you new gardening skills.  Its a chance to be in the fresh air, get fit, meet new people and join us for a session, an hour or a day.  Lunch is provided at the Big Table Cafe anytime from 12.00 - 2.00pm and hot drinks are on tap.
