The events listed on this page are our special events and services open to the public. The Cathedral also has regular services, which you’re welcome to and there are also a range of private events held at the Cathedral which may mean that the the Cathedral is in use at other times.

Kicking off this year’s Cooish Vooar Festival is the world premiere of a story of folklore and enchantment. Caillagh is the first opera written in the Manx language, composed by Matthew Warren with words by Bob Carswell and directed by David Dawson.

Mega Manx Ceili
Yn Chruinnaght Festival is at the Cathedral and The Mega Manx Ceili is back! Dance the night away to the Mega Manx Ceili Band in the beautiful Cathedral. Please note this event is a BYOB. Tea and coffee will be available.

Yn Chruinnaght comes to the cathedral! Take the floor for an evening of lively ceili dancing with Scottish accordion wizard Sandy Brechin then catch your breath whilst enjoying some music and song from The Mollag Band and Scran. This year’s optional fancy dress is nautical... Teeval? A local fisherman? The Kraken? The choice is yours me hearties!
Free facepainting 7.30pm – 9pm from Palette’s facepainting! Filbey’s food van will be serving food from 6pm - 9.30pm.
